More than a hostel
The newly restored Ca’ Degli Aironi hostel is a fantastic example where respect for the pre-existing rural building has resulted in a high-quality finish whilst maintaining many original features of the old “Vallazza”. Its new name is because it is located in a river area where these birds frequent and habitually nest. Thanks to its position in a prime natural context, close to the lakes and sports fields, the hostel is particularly aimed at welcoming those who wish to immerse themselves in nature, and in particular associations and youth groups (such as the Rossoblù Campus of Bologna FC and the Memokids camps that already hold residential retreats and seminars).

The restoration is only the latest in a long list of investments made by the Monti Salute Più Group for the recovery and enhancement of the Val Sillaro area. The hostel offers an extra accommodation option that complements well the other services of the Village: the widespread hotel (rooms, apartments, camping sites), the restaurant, the agritourism spa open all year round, the summer WaterPark, the Fitness Valley project with the new mountain bike centre dedicated to cycling tourism, and much much more.
